FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

• Do the lodges have hot tubs? We have 8 lodges with private hot tubs. 2x Brothers Water lodges, 2x Hart Crag Retreat, and 2x Hartsop Lodge Escape.
• Are the lodges pet friendly? We have a range of pet friendly and not-pet friendly lodges. Please add your pet before making the booking to ensure you’re in a pet friendly lodge. 
• Can I leave my pet in the lodge if I want to go out? As per your booking T&C’s pets are not to be left unattended at any time in the lodges. Luckily we have lots of lovely pet friendly local establishments. so there is no need to leave them behind!
• How do I see prices and availability? If you click on the “Book Now” tab it will take you to our Hoseasons listing where you will see prices, availability, and more photos.
• How many do the lodges sleep? Our lodges sleep a maximum of 4 people, the set up for all our lodges is is one double bedroom and a twin bedroom.
• Do the lodges have baths? Unfortunately the design and layout of the lodges means there is no room for a bath in them.
• Can I request a specific lodge? Yes, please email us with your booking reference and we can move you into your requested lodge (if available). Please note, we will do our best to ensure you get your requested lodge but we cannot guarantee it. Please contact us before booking to check if it’s available.
• Groceries: The towns of Penrith (16.5 miles) and Windermere (10.5 miles) has an abundance of supermarkets and other shops. Some of the major supermarkets do deliver to Hartsop Fold. 
• EV Charging: There are no facilities on site to charge electric vehicles and charging from lodge sockets is not permitted. The nearest EV charging is at Glenridding carpark (3.4 miles). Further afield there are plenty of EV charging points at Ambleside (12.8 miles) and Penrith (16.5 miles). Do check zapmap for the most up to date locations: https://www.zap-map.com/live/
• Can I get early check in or late check out?: Unfortunately we are unable offer early check in or late check out. The lodges are ready for 4pm and should they be finished sooner we will let you in.
• Are linen, towels, and robes provided? We provide bed linen, towels, hand towels and bath mats. We are unable to supply robes at this time.
• Are the pet friendly decks enclosed? Yes, all our pet friendly decks are enclosed and gated. 
• Are the kitchens fully equipped? Yes, our kitchens are all fully equipped with oven, hob, fridge, freezer compartment (standard freezer in Brothers Water lodges only), dishwasher (tablets provided), and standard utensils, cookware, and cutlery.
• Are there TVs in the bedrooms? There are no bedroom TVs at Hartsop Fold, but the living room in every lodge has one.
• Are they Smart TVs? The Brothers Water lodge and Hart Crag Retreat have SmartTVs.
• Do we provide guest extras? Yes, we have a range of optional packages. Please email info@hartsop-fold.co.uk for details and to arrange.
• Do the lodges have washing machines? No, but we do have a washing machine and tumble dryer that is free for guests to use located in the laundry block.
• Can I bring a BBQ? We do permit the responsible and safe use of BBQ’s as long as they are not placed directly on the decks, furniture, or grass as they cause irreparable damage.
• Are the hot tubs under cover? Our hot tubs are all located outdoors and are not covered.
• What facilities are on site? We have a laundry room to wash any items you wish to, but the lodges are very self-sufficient. We do not have an on site shop, bar, or restaurant but there are some local pubs and shops.
